Making meal time easier with little ones

When I am unable to dine in at family-friendly establishments; I love cooking. However; meal time with babies, toddlers and children can be often overwhelming. Especially for newer parents. There are the picky eaters, big messes, spills and more. Get ready for the fun!

These days; there are many helpful meal time products that parents love. Want some gear, tips and products that can help make meal time with your babies and children easier? Plus; less messes means less work for mom! Double win!

We cannot forget those bottles and sippy cup lovers!

Parents love these meal mats since you can carry them with you on the go in a diaper bag.

They can also double at play mats for crafts, painting and small toys.

Bottle Feeding

I did breastfeeding and eventually went to bottle feeding. I would pump the milk...and it was a lot of work! I applaud you breastfeeding and bottle-feeding moms!

I had no idea breastfeeding and feeding in general was so much work. I felt like breastfeeding was a full-time job; although it was rewarding and amazing. I would not change the experience for anything in the world. Some moms do struggle with breastfeeding so I have found great products online to help them out a bit.

No parent should be shamed for if she chooses bottle-feeding. When I went from breast to bottle; it was best for my baby and I. I was getting very stressed not producing enough milk for my new baby. I was a new mom, overwhelmed and doing the best I knew how. Formula ended up being what I used once breastfeeding was no longer giving me enough milk for how much my son was eating. I did feel awful for years after. Now I know as long as the baby is fed; I did all I could do and the baby is okay.

This is just my personal story in case anyone reading is struggling with feeding; just like I did. You are not alone and there are products that can help you out a bit, hopefully! Enjoy your baby; these moments go by so fast that probably seem so stressful now. You can do it, mama!  Happy feeding!

Baby Wearing

Baby-wearing was so special to me. I loved that my baby could be so close to my skin and hear my heart beat even. Baby-wearing also helped me out when my son did not want to be put down while I needed to do tasks. He would fall asleep quite fast as soon as I did skin-to-skin contact with him by baby-wearing. Gosh; I miss those days.

There were actual baby-wearing groups in my area when my son was small enough to be carried in one. I guess these groups of moms would gather at public places such as parks and wear the babies! Hey; why not?

Baby Wraps are a wonderful way to carry and bond with your baby. I loved mine!

Diaper Bags

My son is now old enough where we do not carry a diaper bag per say but I use a large purse these days. Let me go back to the diaper bag days. Dang; those were the good days. I miss them honestly. A lot. I tried quite a few diaper bags to find ones I enjoyed and actually used the longest because they made my life easier. Some...not so much. Check out these awesome ones:

Some items I loved keeping my diaper bag were chapstick, baby wipes, diapers, a swim diaper,  grippy socks for play time, hand sanitizer, a teether or two, an extra bottle and feeding products, an extra set of clothing for the baby, a small blanket and a bib or two.
